As we travel along our respective healing roads, we release and call our power back from energies like invalidation, failure, punishment, and guilt. We may call back our sense of worth, gratitude, joy, and amusement. I feel like I talk about these energies a lot in my work with my clients. One energy I may not discuss as often is the energy of Affinity. We may be overlooking this one, but it’s just as important.
Affinity is a spontaneous or natural attraction or liking of someone or something. It’s easy and effortless. Maybe you have a lot of affinity for a particular place you visited. Or perhaps you have a lot of affinity for horses. Have you ever met someone and instantly felt a shared connection with them? Some people have an affinity for languages. Others may find they have an affinity for cars or sports.
How is your level of affinity for yourself these days? Do you find that you are naturally attracted to YOU? If you’re not feeling particularly sympathetic towards yourself or fond of yourself lately, then you may have lost your affinity somewhere along the way. Do you have affinity for your journey and where you are along your life’s path?
It’s time to call back our affinity for ourselves.
I invite you to sit still and be with these questions for a few moments.
Affinity is associated with the 4th chakra, also known as the heart chakra and located in the center of your chest.
As you are sitting still, turn your attention to your heart and tune in to your 4th chakra there. Visualize a color that you have a lot of affinity for and invite that color, that vibration, into your 4th chakra. Let that color fill your heart and call back your affinity. Allow yourself to feel your affinity for YOU. Let yourself HAVE your affinity for YOU and where you are at this point in your life.
Over these next few days and weeks, I invite you to notice your affinity and have the intention to release whatever energies may be blocking you from fully having your affinity for yourself and others.
