Unconscious Energy

We all experience unconscious energy. Overwhelm is one of the first things I think of regarding unconscious energy. Sometimes, when we get overwhelmed, we simply go unconscious. There is so much information coming at us constantly, so much stimulus. It’s easy to zone out and feel the need to go “offline.” We are expected to multitask almost constantly. We can do many things at one time, like drive and listen, talk and write, or walk and type an email while listening to our neighbor and thinking about what’s for dinner. Have you ever been looking for your glasses only to realize they’re on your head? Or, have you ever just zoned out while driving and missed your turn? Have you ever walked into a room only to have no idea what you walked in there to do? Have you fallen asleep, drifted off? Have you ever lost track of a lecture or conversation to which you were meant to be listening? Have you ever read a paragraph or a page of something only to realize you didn’t remember anything you just read? Are you going unconscious now, LOL!

These are examples of unconscious energy, and you can probably think of many more. We all go to sleep, after all. Unconscious energy is not good or bad. We ALL “go unconscious.” We can also multitask and be in many different places energetically or spiritually. We can be energetically on Mars or somewhere in the past while our physical body is driving down the highway!

As with any energy, however, it is very helpful to be aware of it so that we can be more intentional about whether we want to be running unconscious energy or not, so that we can make more conscious decisions around unconscious energy. We can choose to be in our bodies, present, and conscious.

It’s important to note that various foods, drinks, drugs, medications, and even music can create unconscious energy. They can cause us to zone out (and even energetically leave our bodies for a time, more on that in a later newsletter). This may leave us vulnerable to other energies coming in that we don’t actually want in our space and are not our own energy. We may say or do things we wouldn’t normally agree with or choose. We may not consciously remember what occurred once the unconscious energy leaves and we re-enter our bodies. It’s helpful to learn and recognize which of these tend to make you go unconscious so that you can make more informed choices around that.

Sometimes we may go unconscious as a way of coping with trauma. Or, we may go unconscious in order to rest our physical bodies. If we’re in physical pain, we sometimes need medications to help us go unconscious and rest, for instance.

I’m conflating a few things here, but the intention is to get you thinking about when you may be experiencing unconscious energy and learn to clear this energy when desired. No one wants to go unconscious while driving. You may be going unconscious reading this, LOL! There is a lot of unconscious energy out there. You may walk into a place and realize that the people there are not very present and are mostly unconscious (you don’t need to go into judgment, just have the information).

When I’m reading for my clients, unconscious energy can look like a dull white, kind of fluffy cotton ball or clouds or fog. Just like having cotton stuffed in your ears, it can mute things and prevent you from feeling or sensing as much. On your healing journey, you will find that once you’ve done a lot of healing, clearing out pain and foreign energies from your body, and once you’ve created more room for your essence and a greater sense of safety and security in your body, you can be more present, and you won’t experience as much unconscious energy. When you are grounded in your body, you own your space more, and you are much less vulnerable to unconscious energy. Make sense?

We can explore this more another time, but for now, begin to notice when you’re experiencing unconscious energy. Increase your awareness of this energy in yourself and others. Ground yourself. Notice where your attention is and decide to call your energy back to your body.
