Questions. This time in history is asking us to use every tool we have. We are being asked to show up and be present and hold space in ways we’ve not experienced before. In this weeks edition of Your Energy Connection Corner, we are preparing ourselves for Thanksgiving. Included in your preparations may be bracing yourself for being with family or friends who are potentially triggering for you. If that’s the case… this is for you!

I don’t believe that the people around us are responsible for when we get triggered. Whether they triggered us accidentally or intentionally, we are responsible for our own energy and for being aware of our own “triggers”. It is up to us to manage that energy and to learn to ground ourselves.

This Thanksgiving I encourage you to ground yourself, ground yourself, ground yourself. Create a bubble of protection around yourself too. Have your awareness of your energy and of your triggers.

Welcome to this latest volume of Your Energy Connection Corner.
Pause. Breathe. There is a lot of spinning going on out there. I want to check in with each of you. I’m saying hello to you. I ask you to notice where your attention has been lately.

Some of us have our attention turned outwards, towards the news, our phones, our friends, our neighbors. While some of us have our attention turned inwards, sitting in resistance, feeling tight and closed. Afraid and anxious.

Or, likely we’re experiencing some of all of this. Everything all at once. We’re looking for answers out there and trying to discern what’s really going on. Where is this all headed? We’re looking for that sense of feeling safe and secure again. Where is the truth and the clarity we crave? Our sense of feeling safe and secure is shaky at best.

Breathe. Can you let go of the need to know the ending? Can you let go of the need to understand it all, to have all of the answers all at once? Can you come back to your body, to present time? Simplify your focus, bring it back to your own part.
Breathe. Pause. I invite you to notice those moments where you may be seeing things differently, communicating differently, believing or identifying with things in a newer way. You are changing.

It feels strange, scary. Allow the shifts, allow the expansion. Breathe. Steady yourself. You’re okay. You’re on your path.

Can You Give Yourself Grace? (Hint: YES!)

Hello and welcome to the latest volume of Your Energy Connection Corner! How are you doing these days, and what do you notice yourself experiencing? Let’s pause and meet here together at our little corner of the world and reflect.

In this edition, we’re exploring the energy of Grace, and wow, do we need it.
Grace isn’t just “undeserved divine assistance” or “a reprieve.” For me, Grace is about letting go, flowing, softening, and releasing. It’s giving yourself permission to stop performing and simply be. No grades, no judgment, no punishment, just being.

Sometimes Grace looks like forgiving yourself after coughing through a delicate orchestra solo 🎶 (yes, that happened!). Other times, it’s recognizing your own growth and celebrating yourself, like my client who finally paused to appreciate her hard-earned promotion.

✨ Grace makes Space! ✨
-Space for validation.
-Space for healing.
-Space to breathe and to just be.

Welcome to Your Energy Connection Corner. Do you feel a shift in the air? Summer is coming to an end and Autumn is right around the corner.

Have you been feeling a little “different” or “off” or “weird” lately? Sometimes we can be quick to judge ourselves and ask “what’s wrong with me?”. Or, at the least, we ask, “what’s happening?”. Before you judge yourself or the situation as right or wrong, good or bad, I encourage you to hit pause.

Give yourself the gift of some space, some stillness.
Call your attention back to your body and your heart.
Breathe.
Allow yourself to simply notice without judgment.

Your awareness is increasing. You may feel uncomfortable in your body because internally you are changing. These increases in awareness happen internally and on a spirit or energetic level first. As the awareness grows and becomes harder to deny it begins to affect us on a body level.

Frequently, we look at what we are experiencing and begin diagnosing what is wrong with us or others. This commentary and judgment is often running quietly in the background of our lives, rooted in old programming and beliefs.

But here is the truth. You are not wrong. Your very being is not wrong. Whatever you are experiencing is simply that… it is what you are experiencing.

If you notice that kind of commentary within yourself, I invite you to pause and take a listen. Understand that it is a lie. Blow it up. That is not your energy.

In this edition of Your Connection Corner, we explore the “shadow” side of Success. While success can bring a fulfilling sense of accomplishment, reward, and validation, we may unconsciously begin to believe that our success makes us more worthy, smarter, or simply better than others. We may start to think we know what’s best for someone else or that they should be able to do what we did. Even well-meaning support can carry judgment, leaving others feeling less valid or capable. You are worthy. You are enough. You are loved.

Many of us, especially those who are sensitive or deeply empathetic, are used to having other people’s energy constantly in our space. We may not even realize we’ve never truly occupied our own energy. We've been conditioned to put others first. But taking care of ourselves is essential.

Many of my clients have shared with me experiences of choosing themselves after years of putting others first, whether by leaving long-term relationships, setting boundaries with family, or making life-affirming choices about their identity. These decisions often come with discomfort and judgment from others, but they also come with deep transformation. The truth is, we can love people without allowing them to take up our energetic space. They have their own space, and so do we.

We are experiencing A LOT. We are experiencing what might feel like an avalanche of shifts in how we view our world around us. It can feel energetically as if the ground beneath us is shifting like it does in an earthquake. Our sense of security and belonging is called into question. What we thought we knew and what we thought was real is being upended, destroyed. This is happening to us not only as individuals on what could be called a micro level, but on a national, global, and even cosmic macro level. Many things are shifting and being destroyed. This can feel very scary and deeply disturbing on a body level as well as a spirit level. It’s as if reality itself is shifting in the midst of all the destruction.

How do we navigate it all? The many emotions and energies, the deluge of information and the stories this creates, the seemingly competing agendas, the division.

As you welcome this full moon, allow it to assist the transformation that is taking place inside you and around you. May it serve to remind us that we are always transforming, that we are not stuck, that everything continues to be in motion… 🌝

If you are feeling rattled at your core. If your sense of belonging and security is shaky. If your entire view of your world was just shattered. Please know you are absolutely valid, you are enough. You absolutely belong. You are loved beyond measure.

This is very much affecting us at a root chakra, physical body level. Breathe, move, make sound, feel the Earth under your feet. Connect your root chakra to the center of the Earth. Create a new energetic cord there. You’ll likely need to destroy your old grounding cord and create a new one. Create a new, strengthened sense of belonging. Call back your validation, know you are valid and more than enough. Call back your affinity and know you are deeply loved.

And know we are not alone. Ask your guides and angels to be with you. Call back your power.

Let us be busy getting stronger.

Shadow energy is strong right now... I have spoken with many people who are feeling the shadow right next to them and they’re working to not let it rule them or to identify that shadow as themselves…

This is an opportunity to face it within ourselves and gain seniority with it.

Be strong, remember your light. And remember to BREATHE.

As we travel along our respective healing roads, we release and call our power back from energies like invalidation, failure, punishment, and guilt. We may call back our sense of worth, gratitude, joy, and amusement. Affinity is a spontaneous or natural attraction or liking of someone or something. It’s easy and effortless.

How is your level of affinity for yourself these days? Do you find that you are naturally attracted to YOU? If you’re not feeling particularly sympathetic towards yourself or fond of yourself lately, then you may have lost your affinity somewhere along the way. Do you have affinity for your journey and where you are along your life’s path?

It’s time to call back our affinity for ourselves.

Failure is a universal experience. In my work as a clairvoyant, reading energy for people, l’ve sometimes had clients sitting in what I call
“failure” energy. It is heavy or thick and weighs them down, like a dark cloud hanging over them or showing up in one of their aura layers. It can cut them off from other energies and separate them from being able to feel or have grace and love.

How do you relate to the energy of failure in your life? Do you immediately look for where to place blame-whether on yourself, on someone else, or elsewhere? Are you afraid to fail? Do you have permission to fail?

Failure can teach us many things about ourselves and about life. No need to over-identify with it and become the energy of failure.
Rather, allow it and have your seniority with it, learn from it. Failure is simply another energy. It is not who you are. You are NOT a failure.

At 55, I’ve come to realize that aging brings many of our attachments to the forefront. We become aware of how attached we’ve been to things like “your hair color, your skin, your posture... your independence, etc.” However, this isn’t just something that comes with age, we ALL have strong attachments that shape our lives. Some are small and easy to release, like “I shouldn’t wear navy blue with black,” while others are deeper, like your ideas around money, parenting... or death. While some attachments are healthy and support growth, others may lead to unhealthy patterns or even addiction. The key is to bring awareness to these attachments, asking, “Are those attachments healthy?” This exploration offers valuable information about ourselves and empowers us with the freedom of choice. In past YECC volumes we have examined a few different energies: Peace, Judgement, Punishment, Effort, Acceptance, & Unconscious energy. There are so many more I want to explore with you!

However, in this edition I feel guided to pause and look at energy from a slightly different angle and in a broader capacity. Rather than zoning in on a particular energy, let’s look at how we enocounter energy and give that more language.

Humans experience energy in many different ways. We are amazing energy conductors. It’s important for us to replenish when we run low on energy. As we begin to think more in terms of energy, we can become more aware of what we’re experiencing, sensing and feeling. With that awareness, we have a greater ability to make decisions about how we want to respond.

We all experience unconscious energy. Overwhelm is one of the first things I think of regarding unconscious energy. Sometimes, when we get overwhelmed, we simply go unconscious.

Unconscious energy is not good or bad. We ALL “go unconscious.” We can also multitask and be in many different places energetically or spiritually. We can be energetically on Mars or somewhere in the past while our physical body is driving down the highway!

When I’m reading for my clients, unconscious energy can look like a dull white, kind of fluffy cotton ball or clouds or fog. Just like having cotton stuffed in your ears, it can mute things and prevent you from feeling or sensing as much.

There is an awful lot of fear in our world these days. Stirring up fear is a way of getting attention and commanding our attention so that we are laser-focused on the source. The energy of fear is controlling
When we let fear dictate our lives, we are letting it control us.

It’s all too easy to allow fear to rule us and dictate what we do.
It creates a lot of tension in the body. Fear can make us clingy and inflexible, constricted. Our response to fear is often to grip and not let go.

As with all of the energies we explore here at Your Energy Connection Corner, my objective is to increase our awareness of the energy so that we can have greater seniority with it.

We turn now to the energy of judgment. Is it possible not to experience it? Probably not, but it’s worth bringing it into our awareness. When we judge something, communication stops. Words may continue, but real dialogue ceases. Once I’ve judged who you are, further discussion is pointless. My position is set, and there's no more exchange.

I urge us to turn up our awareness of our judgments. Where do they come from? Let’s root out our unconscious judgments and begin to sift through them to determine what we want to keep and what we’re ready to let go of in our own energetic spaces.

Judgment is necessary for decisions, but constant
judgment hinders communication.

For many of us, punishment is so interwoven into our own energy that we are not fully aware we’re handling such energy on a daily basis. This is especially true if you were raised in a culture that used punishment heavily as a means of controlling you. Many religions use the threat of punishment to create fear and therefore control its followers. Likewise, many schools and parenting styles use punishment to manage behaviors.

I believe we need to be careful with punishment. Drop a 💜 if you agree or struggle with punishment yourself.

Your answers are already within you. Yep, it’s true. Although most of the time, it doesn’t feel that simple does it?

Learning to ask better questions can help us access our answers.

Next time you sit down to seek answers to your burning questions, try this approach:

Consider what you’d like the answer to do for you…

What would you like this answer to give you?

Once you have a better idea of what you want this answer to give you, sit down and ground yourself. Breathe. Relax. Release the tension from your physical body.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Close your eyes.
Ask your question.
Invite stillness and patiently wait, observe. Continue to breath, relax, release.
Allow space to open up within you. Release and create room for your answers to form. Know they are within you and they will come.

As a musician, I also find it helpful to practice and rehearse your answer. By this, I mean, try it on and see how it feels in your physical body. Imagine yourself experiencing the answer. Notice how your body responds. How does it feel? Does it ring true in your body?

Working in this way is intuitive but it does also take practice. Even the best musicians still practice. The great mystics likewise.

Try this:
This weekend take your body outside for a walk and as you stroll simply notice where your attention goes. Watch where your thoughts tend to go.
Allow whatever you notice to simply be information, don’t judge.

Then, look around you and notice what you see in present time. Is there any beauty there? Can you HAVE that beauty? Are you in resistance to it?
Are you creating enough space for you to discover the beauty that is ahead for you?
Be open to having more of the beauty ahead of you as you travel through your life.

How easy is it for you to be still? Have you ever noticed how stillness is not this frozen, stiff place? How it’s not this motionless vacuum devoid of life?
